Dr. Sameet Shah is a board-certified gastroenterologist with six years of clinical experience providing comprehensive, patient-centered care across the spectrum of gastrointestinal and liver diseases. He earned his medical degree from New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed his Internal Medicine residency at Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) Palisades Medical Center, and subsequently completed his Gastroenterology fellowship through HMH Palisades Medical Center and Hackensack University Medical Center.
Dr. Shah is a highly proficient endoscopist with extensive experience performing thousands of endoscopic procedures, including upper endoscopy (EGD), colonoscopy, balloon dilation, submucosal injection, endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), and gastrostomy tube placement. He is committed to performing procedures with a strong emphasis on safety, precision, and patient comfort.
His clinical interests include diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of chronic liver disease and irritable bowel syndrome, as well as the evaluation and management of a broad range of gastrointestinal disorders. Dr. Shah has developed a reputation for thoughtful clinical decision-making and for recognizing uncommon and complex gastrointestinal conditions, including those requiring urgent intervention.
