Jose Castaneda is a U.S Army Veteran who served in the U.S Army Reserve as 1st Lieutenant where he administered emergency care in the field by triaging, diagnosing and treating injuries. At Evergreen Medical Group, Jose serves as a family nurse practitioner who recently received his Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Rutgers University. His ongoing determination towards excelling in his field led him to receive a Rutgers Student Scholarship as well as the Elizabeth Fenalson Scholarship. Over the course of his education from Bachelors to Masters to Doctorate in Nursing, Jose received extensive training and medical experience from Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, Newark Community Health Center in Newark, and G&S Medical Associates in Paterson, where his fluency in Spanish allowed him to work with an array of socioeconomic patient backgrounds ensuring routine immunizations, performing injury care, educating patients on disease prevention, and empowering patients to maintain healthy lifestyles. At Evergreen, with his background as a U.S Army medic, outside of routine patient care, Jose remains strongly involved in taking care of U.S Veterans and First Responders.
