Dr. Alex Tievsky is a podiatrist who is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, having graduated from New York College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Tievsky additionally completed a 3-year Podiatric Medicine and Surgery residency with further certification in Reconstructive Foot & Ankle Surgery at Forest Hills Hospital. During his residency, Dr. Tievsky covered 5 hospitals within the North Shore LIJ system, treating everything from simple ingrown nails to complex reconstructive surgery secondary to severe trauma. With 10+ years of experience, he is well versed and trained in all aspects of Foot & Ankle Surgery. Dr. Tievsky has helped manage and treat patients in wound healing centers utilizing hyperbaric oxygen therapy and skin grafts to heal complex non-healing wounds. Professionally, Dr. Tievsky is regarded as one of the top podiatric surgeons in the country for treatment of collapsing arches via minimally invasive surgery. In his spare time, Dr. Tievsky lectures both nationally and internationally, teaching other medical providers how to skillfully perform meticulous surgical techniques. Moreover, he was previously honored to be awarded the title of Center of Excellence from Gramedica in the implantation of HyproCure stents.
